ABOUT ME

 About Me

I am an independent jeweller based near Oxford, UK. Having initially tried out silver jewellery making by chance on a one day summer course, I was hooked straight away, and have been designing and making my own silver jewellery for about fifteen years. A member of JASSO, I have taken part in several exhibitions and selling events, such as Oxfordshire Artweeks, The Diversity of Silver at the Oxfordshire Museum, Woodstock, and at Court Barn Museum, Chipping Campden.

I use sterling silver which starts out as either wire or sheet, and form each individual piece using traditional techniques. My larger pieces are hallmarked by the London Assay Office.

Inspired by the sea and natural forms, I often incorporate pebbles, shells or sea glass in my work following a beachcombing session.  Some of my designs combine a little gold or copper with silver, as I love the juxtaposition of different metals. I tend to choose natural colours or organic shapes, and I also enjoy setting beautiful materials such as fossiled coral or wood, or semi-precious stones. Although I may repeat some of my popular designs, no two pieces are identical, as each is handcrafted separately.

My aim is to become as ecofriendly as possible, therefore I use recycled copper and gold, and try and use as much recycled and ethically sourced silver as possible.

If you have a special request, or would like one of my designs in a specific size, please do not hesitate to contact me. To see examples of my work, take a look at the Gallery page.
